New York, February 7, 2017—Inspired by a century of the acclaimed designer Florence Knoll Bassett, who turns 100 this year, a range of new products will be added to the Florence Knoll Collection. These additions include the Florence Knoll Relaxed Lounge Seating, Dining Tables, Mini Desk, and Hairpin™ Stacking Table.
Showcasing looks from creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, models walked up and down the many staircases of the glass-roofed courtyard, weaving between classical statuary and onlooking guests. Along with the avant-garde Louis Vuitton clothing on display, the architectural forms of the Toboggan furniture, all with white seats and black legs, provided a contrasting element of modern design to a space heavily steeped in traditional art.
Knoll, Inc., of East Greenville, PA, is the 2016 recipient of the inaugural Linny Award in Excellence in Product Design. The award honors “a Lehigh Valley-based business or corporation for the quality, innovativeness and creativity of its goods and products,” according to the Linny Award announcement.
Knoll introduced Best of NeoCon Gold and Silver award-winning Rockell Unscripted™ at the 2016 NeoCon World Trade Fair, which opened today at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. HiLo™, a dynamic pull-up perch for active workstyles, designed by Box Clever, also debuted. KnollTextiles previewed The Odyssey Collection designed by KnollTextiles Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas, which launches in July.
